All members of the St Therese of Lisieux school share a responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and have a duty to follow the procedures approved by the Local Safeguarding Children Board and take appropriate action if they have concerns about a child’s welfare.

Designated Safeguarding Lead – Miss H Lickess

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads – Mr M Ryan, Mrs H Mannion, Mr D Colley and Mrs S Sherrington.

Miss Lickess, Mr Ryan, Mrs Mannion, Mr Colley and Mrs Sherrington are the Designated Child Protection members of staff and all teaching and support staff have had regular Child Protection Awareness training.

Mrs Wright is our Safeguarding Governor.

All staff have undertaken Channel General Awareness training with regards to the Prevent Strategy.

All teachers are fully aware of the important guidance given to school by the government in their Keeping Children Safe in Education Document and have complete annual Safeguarding training. All staff completed Level 1 Keeping Children Safe in Education training in September 2022

We currently have 18 members of staff who have successfully completed First Aid training of which 14 members of staff are ‘Paediatric First Aid’ trained. All members of staff have received epipen training and 12 members of staff defibrillator training.
