What is Pupil Premium?
The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It’s designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better, and close the gap between them and their peers. The pupils for whom funding is provided are: pupils entitled for free school meals (FSM), pupils who have parents working for the armed services and those children in local authority care. If your child qualifies for free school meals, it’s important that you tell us – even if they take a packed lunch – as this enables us to claim pupil premium.
Mr Sherrington currently leads on provision for pupil premium however any concerns or queries about eligibility may be discussed in confidence with Mrs Hicks our School Business Manager.
